Watch zoo animals online. There’s a combo of webcams where you can just watch animals (if they’re there and doing anything) and actual commentary with a zookeeper. Many livestreams have a follow up activity. These are geared toward kids but still interesting for adults. Update 3/28/20: Monterey Bay Aquarium has added a bunch of cams including jellies! Just added Georgia Aquarium which has multiple cams including a pirahna cam and a video of puppies in the aquarium.

Tuesday I watched: Bringing The Zoo To You: “Roll call” and weigh-in of the Nigerian Dwarf goats. It’s a great chance to get to know who’s who and find out about the importance of weighing them and what they eat. Shedd Aquarium 24 hours
Check out the Underwater Beauty cam. Go full screen and be mesmerized for hours. This exhibit opened in May, 2018 and was paid for by Ken Griffin. Here’s the description. From boldly-colored fish and glowing coral to dreamlike patterns of wrasses and tangs, Shedd Aquarium’s new special exhibit, Underwater Beauty, aims to bring guests closer to the stunning and surprising spectrum of shapes, sizes, movement, patterns and colors that exist within the aquatic animal world to inspire the notion of “beauty worth saving.”
Georgia Aquarium – Pirahna cam
Watch the Piranha feed by through their Piranha Webcam located in out Southern Company, River Scout Gallery. Piranha feeds are scheduled each Saturday, Sunday and Thursday at 2PM daily. Other cams: Ocena Voyager, African penguin, Beluga whale, southern sea otter, jellies, Indo-Pacific barrier reef, and underwater Puffin cam.

Watch Fiona the hippo on her own Facebook show. Fiona, a baby hippopotamus was born 6 weeks premature at the Cincinnati Zoo. Check out Episode 10 Fiona Turns 2! On this page Home Safaris via Facebook live the zoo will be introducing a new animal every day. All videos will be posted to this webpage and on their YouTube channel shortly after the Facebook Live ends. Also there is an activity to do for each safari. I watched the cheetah and the penguin safaris. Quite fascinating. Here’s cheetah Kris’ first lure run (Hint: it’s like going the dog track).
Houston Zoo 7AM-7PM
Houston Zoo has multiple cams. These are not stationary so you can’t stare at the same giraffe or whatever for 30 minutes. You can control the giraffe webcam. It really just moved to a preset position. Available cams are: Giraffe (depending on where they’re standing their heads are cut off), gorilla, elephant, leafcutter ant, rhino and chimps. Watch here.
Monterey Bay Aquarium Multiple cams
Monterey Bay Aquarium has added more cams: Aviary, coral reef, jelly, kelp forest, Monterey Bay, Moon jelly, open sea, penguin and shark. Different cams have different availabilty times.
Sea Otter Cam Sea otter feedings happen at 10:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm PST. Not much action here. I checked back at a feeding time and three showed up but no keeper. Find out more about their Sea Otters here.
Watch zoo animals online San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari animal cams – No hours posted
San Diego Zoo has multiple cams: Baboon, penguin, polar bear, ape, koala, burrowing owl, giraffe, elephant, tiger and condor. Watch here. There’s also an archive of their pandas who were repatriated to China. Under each cam are links to learn more about the animals and some animals have a blog like the penguins.
St. Louis Zoo Penguin and Puffin Coast Livestream Every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Smithsonian’s National Zoo Giant Panda Cam – 24 hours Toggle between Panda Cam 1 and Panda Cam 2 using the tabs at the top of the video player to get the full Panda Cam experience.
Watch giant pandas Tian Tian and Mei Xiang here. While you are watching pandas chomp on bamboo, play in trees and tumble in the grass, specially trained volunteers with Friends of the National Zoo are hard at work using these cameras to collect behavioral data on the giant pandas. Please note that while the cameras stream live 24 hours a day, FONZ volunteer operators will only be following the pandas during regular business hours.
Zoo Miami Meerkat Cam 24 hours
