Where to order artisanal cheese online. If you enjoy cheese but aren’t leaving your house I’ve found a website, Planet Cheese, that lists a bunch of shops that ship. This isn’t going to be cheap, since they’re shipping something that has to be refrigerated, it will have to ship overnight. As an example I was on Zingerman’s website and they charge $33 for shipping! If you have the cash though this is a great resource.

One resource if you live around Wicker Park and Bucktown is the new shop Beautiful Rind. Their prices are decent but they don’t deliver downtown unfortunately. Another resource is Local Foods which has a limited selection and delivers through Mercato.
I’ve sorted through Planet Cheese‘s website and am listing all the Illinois and surrounding state options – thankfully we live adjacent to the Land of Cheese! I haven’t purchased anything yet and clicking around some of these sell your run-of-the-mill cheese. I’ll update this once I’ve purchased something.
