Wicker Park Community Shredding and E-Recycling.
The Wicker Park-Bucktown Community is holds a series of community document shredding and electronics recycling events. Arrive early the truck has been known to fill up and they will turn people away.

Paper Shredding by Shred It
Gather your old financial records, cancelled checks, credit card statements, love letters from your ex and watch them get destroyed in a matter of minutes, right before your very eyes. Thanks to Shred It, a portable document destruction company, you can have all of your sensitive paperwork shredded for free! There is a 3 box/bag limit; but you can have additional material shredded for $5 per box/bag.
Electronics Recycling by Shore eCycle
Shore eCycle will be on hand to collect unwanted computer equipment. All hard drives are wiped clean or destroyed; full reporting is available upon request. Systems that cannot be refurbished will be recycled responsibly. Shore eCycle will accept:
- Computers, laptops, monitors (no crt monitors), printers, computer cables, mice, keyboards
- Fax machines
- TVs (no tube TVs), VCRs, DVD and MP3 players, video game consoles
- Cell phones
- Video equipment.
NOT ACCEPTED = Air Conditioners, Refrigerators and other Large Appliances, Car Batteries
