One of the most beloved summer events is when the Andersonville neighborhood celebrates its Swedish heritage and culture with the 60th annual Andersonville Midsommarfest, from June 12 through June 14, 2026.

One of Chicago’s oldest and most anticipated street festivals, Andersonville Midsommarfest supplies over 50 live musical acts on four stages. The fest also includes vendors, food, kids’ activities and Swedish traditions like dancing around the Maypole.
This year’s featured performers include American English, Too Much Molly, Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute, Cecy Santana and Sixteen Candles. A special LGBTQ+ stage will present performances like Drag Queen Storytime, Dragalicious and Atmosphere’s Madonna Rama on June 13 and 14.
