Art Institute of Chicago: Wreathing of the Lions Ceremony.
When: Friday November 29, 2019, 10:00AM–10:30AM.
Where: Art Institute of Chicago, 111 S Michigan Ave., 312-443-3600. Outdoor ceremony on the Michigan Avenue steps followed by indoor activities at Ryan Educational Center.
Watch the lions receive their annual holiday evergreen wreaths at the Michigan Avenue entrance as you warm up with complimentary hot chocolate and a free performance. Beginning in 2018 the lions were “unveiled” rather than having the wreathes placed on at the ceremony. Apparently someone fell off a ladder in 2017.
