Enjoy the spirit-filled gospel music genre that was created in Chicago at the annual Gospel Music Festival on July 24-25, 2026, in Millennium Park. This beloved fest draws fans from all over the country to hear some of gospel’s greatest voices at this free event.

A cherished Chicago tradition for over 40 years, the Chicago Gospel Fest showcases the depth and variety of this Chicago music form that was birthed in the Bronzeville neighborhood. The line-up includes solo vocalists, choral groups, duos, and traditional and contemporary musicians.
This year’s fest will host gospel superstars Tasha Cobbs Leonard on July 25 and Hezekiah Walker and Love Fellowship Choir on July 26. In addition to these exciting headliners, Deandre Patterson and Janet Collings with the Chicago Unity Choir, Bishop William Murphy, and Chicago YouthUnited are just a few of the other performers who will take the stage.
The free festival will feature local and national artists celebrating gospel’s uplifting message, as well as an exciting lineup of local vendors selling gospel records, t-shirts, and other related merchandise.
Chicago Gospel Fest runs from 4-9 pm on July 24, 2026, and from noon- 9 pm on July 25, 2026, at the Jay Priztker Pavilion in Millennium Park, at Michigan and Washington Streets. Admission is free; arrive early for the best seats and sightlines on the grass.
