Square Roots Festival

Music lovers rejoice, the return of Old Town School of Folk Music’s Square Roots Festival is set for July 10-12, 2026. This free, family-friendly music fest celebrates music from around the globe as well as the popular Lincoln Square community.

This year’s artist line-up of two stages over three days includes diverse artists like rising country singer Margo Price, the roots rock of Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets, local indie rock band DEHD, New Orleans brass ensemble The Soul Rebels and blues singer Sheryl Youngblood.

The marketplace will offer an eclectic assortment of goods, including jewelry, clothing, housewares, handmade beauty goods, candles, soaps, pet products and games.

Children can hang out at the Kids Zone featuring Wiggleworms and other live music as well as inflatables, craft activities, kids vendors and other entertainment especially for the little ones.

Adults can browse and sip through the craft beer breweries, including local faves Dovetail and Half Acre. Vodka cocktails, THC seltzers, and mocktails will also be available.

The food section will serve up tasty eats like Cafe Tola’s empanadas, Byron’s hot dogs, Avrom Farm fajitas, Bad Johnny’s wood-fired pizza and CHill’s Italian ice.

The Square Roots Festival runs from Friday, 5-10 pm and Saturday from noon- 10 pm and Sunday, noon – 9 pm. The festival takes place on Lincoln Avenue between Montrose and Wilson.
