Chicago Public Library Block Party

Welcome summer with the fun, community and discovery at the first-ever Chicago Public Library Block Party at Harold Washington Library Center on June 8, 2024.

Join Mayor Brandon Johnson for a summer extravaganza of live music, food, giveaways and activities for the whole family. The block party will also supply opportunities to sign up for CPL Summer events like dance workshops, music crafts and ice cream socials.

The Chicago Public Library Block Party runs from noon to 2 pm. Guests can register for bus rides to the event here. The block party is free to attend but registration is required here.
