Explore the mysterious world beneath the ocean with the Chicago Field Museum’s exciting new interactive exhibit, “Unseen Oceans,”
which allows visitors to enter an underwater cavern and view sea life up close.
With more than 70 percent of the Earth covered by water, “Unseen Oceans” unveils this magical world with 180-degree screens that showcase life-sized sea creatures, tanks with live jellyfish and seahorses and a massive model of bioluminescent fish and plankton.
Footage of deep-sea dives and piloting a submersible in an interactive game are also part of the watery adventures. “Unseen Oceans” requires a special all-access pass.
Don’t forget that the Field Museum admission is free to Illinois residents on Wednesdays in 2024.
