Free art tour Harold Washington Library.
The Art Tour focuses on the impressive collection of original artwork on display throughout the building. Unfortunately the Library has discontinued these tours. There is a checklist of the art in the building, organized by floor, available in the lobby. All the art is labeled so at least you know what it is.
When: Self-guided tours The second Tuesday of every month. 1:00PM – 2;30PM. (Subject to cancellation or no tour on holidays. Always call or check website).

The tour is free. Registration required.

- The City of Chicago’s Public Art Collection at the Harold Washington Library Center was funded through the City’s Percent-for-Art Program. The Percent-for-Art program allocates 1.33% of all public building project costs to the procurement of art.
- It is the single largest public art project in the City of Chicago’s history to date.
