Explore the natural beauty of the winter season during the annual Polar Adventure Days on January 24, 2026. Bundle up and enjoy the chilly fun on the 119 acres of Northerly Island Park, located along the shoreline of Lake Michigan.

Connect with nature during a day of winter adventures from 11 am to 3 pm. Activities include viewing Huskie dog sledding, making winter-inspired crafts, touring the natural preserve and sipping hot cocoa by the bonfire.
Northerly Island Park was designed by famed architect Daniel Burnham and was the site of the 1933 Century of Progress World’s Fair. This lakefront nature area includes a five-acre pond, 150 varieties of native plants and a savanna with 20,000 trees and shrubs. Food will be available for purchase.
