Free rides from Gestcart. The bus was taking forever and I was too lazy to walk when this golf cart went by. I downloaded the app and got a free ride home (plus tip). Gestcart works like Uber. You enter your location and destination. The app is a little buggy and it took several tries get a driver.
It’s the same service as the now defunct Circuit. A company pays to advertise on the vehicle and that pays for the free rides. The drivers are paid employees and keep 100% of their tips. The current sponsor is the new Hard Rock Casino in Gary Indiana. The Polaris Gem E6 carts only go a maximum of 25 mph so no Lake Shore Drive or the expressway!
