Spring arrives with hearty abundance for the pre-season opening of the iconic Green City Market at the Lincoln Park location. Chicago’s first and largest sustainable farmers market supplies an eclectic selection of fruits, vegetables, baked goods, flowers, prepared foods and meats.
The Lincoln Park Green City Market will open every Saturday in April, from 8 am-1 pm. Regular hours will return in May but shoppers can scoop up produce including microgreens, herbs, vegetables, rice, flowers and goods like cheese, eggs, honey and pickled goods.
The market also sponsors Cub Sprouts, a program that teaches kids about farming, sustainability and food. They are encouraged to sample food grown by local farmers at the Cubs Sprouts Table.
