Enjoy the global rhythms of reggae, African and Latin music at the 29th annual African/ Caribbean International Festival of Life, July 1-4, 2023. Dive into the music, food and art of different cultures during this beloved event in Washington Park.
The headliners for this year’s 30th annual fest include dancehall legend Capleton and The Prophecy Band, iconic Jamaican sound system Stone Love, classic 70s R&B band Heatwave, and Roody Roodboy from Haiti. The four-day festivities also feature food vendors from cultures around the globe, a children’s pavilion and art and accessories from local and national artisans.
This year’s Festival of Life will be combined with the Jerk, Seafood & Vegan Fest that usually runs in the fall so expect a big selection of jerk meats, seafood and vegan dishes.
The International Festival of Life runs from noon to 10 pm each day and general admission is $25. Children 12 and under get free admission. The live music plays all day but headliners perform in the evening so arrive early to snag a spot near the stage.
