Jazz in the Court

The Hyde Park neighborhood celebrates South Side jazz traditions with free outdoor concerts in Harper Court on the first Fridays of the summer months. Enjoy free live music in the heart of the historic community

This year’s dates are June 5, 2026. July 10, 2026, August 7, 2026, and September 11, 2026.  Jazz in the Court supplies the excitement of the Chicago Jazz Fest in the heart of Hyde Park.

Megan McNeal, Julian Davis Reid, Maggie and Africa Brown and the Quintin Coaxum Quintet will headline the outdoor shows. The concerts run from noon to 2:30 PM. Arrive early and bring a lawn chair to snag the best viewpoints. Free parking is available at the Harper Court Parking Structure from 10 AM- 4 PM during the concerts.
