Navy Pier Global Connections Lunar New Year Celebration

Navy Pier will host a free, interactive, family-friendly celebration of the Lunar New Year with the annual event, Global Connections: Lunar New Year, on February 1, 2025. Honor the Year of the Snake with traditional art, dance, music and food from different Asian cultures.

Explore the cultural associations related to the Year of the Snake, which represents wisdom and calm. Participate in arts activities and demonstrations from different Asian cultures including Chinese, Korean, Thai and Filipino.

Discover different Asian art forms and sample traditional New Year’s food at this Lunar New Year celebration. Performers include the Thai Cultural Fine Arts Society, Chinese Fine Arts Society and Helixx Crew.

The festivities run from 1 to 5 pm in Navy Pier’s Aon Grand Ballroom.
