The second-oldest LBTGQ+ film festival in the country kicks off with an exciting line-up of international features, documentaries and shorts with the 43rd annual Reeling International Film Festival on September 19-28, 2025.

The rich diversity of the queer community is showcased during the 10-day fest, displaying contributions from lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender filmmakers. Celebrating portrayals that are too often misrepresented in mainstream media, Reeling Film Fest attracts fans from all over the Midwest.
This year’s films include the animated comedy “Lesbian Space Princess.” Canadian sci-fi fantasy “Rains Over Babel,” a thriller about Nepal’s first female detective, “Pooja, Sir” and the coming-of-age comedy, “She’s the He”.
Tickets for the films are $15 and $65 for a five-film pass. The movie screenings are at Landmark Century Cinema, 2828 N.Clark and Chicago Filmmakers at 1326 W. Hollywood. View the schedule here.
