Discount tickets to Fathom Events
What are Fathom Events?
Fathom Events are special screenings at AMC, Cinemark and Regal Theaters. Fathom Events offers limited showings of “TCM Big Screen Classics” (such as the 75th Anniversary screening of Casablanca last Dec.) and live events (such as Metropolitan Opera performances) as well as other events. The TCM Big Screen Classics and Met Opera performance screenings are during non-peak times usually on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Fathom events is co-owned by Fathom Events, AMC Entertainment, Cinemark Holdings, and Regal Entertainment Group.
Use AMC discount passes for movies
A few months ago I tried to use an AMC Gold Pass to see a TCM screening. I was told they weren’t accepted so I paid full freight. I called after that and was told that that was an error! Since then I’ve used AMC Gold Passes to get into a couple TCM events. Tickets are regularly $14 at the box office (additional fees online).
Try using other AMC passes
AMC doesn’t sell Gold passes anymore but if you have Yellow or Black those may work. You can call the box office at the theater directly and give them the code off the back of the pass to see if it works. The only numbers I have are AMC RiverEast (312-596-0333) and AMC Block 37 (312-281-7037). Save money on Movie Tickets
Regal and Cinemark passes
I do not have access to these passes to try them but it seems logical that they would be accepted if AMC passes are allowed. I’ve contacted Fathom Events multiple times and received no response. If anyone has tried to use these passes at a Fathom event can you report back the results? Thanks!
No passes for more expensive events
Tickets for live performances such as the Met Opera are around $27. Fathom does not accept any AMC passes and presumably any other passes.
