15% off at Spice House
Spice House is a spice shop on Wells Street just south of North Ave. in Chicago. You can get almost any dried herb and spice imaginable there and now they have a product called Flat Packs. Flat packs are the same amount of spice that comes in their bottles but they’re in envelopes and ship for free. I love the flat packs because they save space in the cupboard. They come in hard cardboard lined packets with zip tops. The packs are 4″ x 6″.

Flat packs save space.
If you’re running out of spices and dried herbs and don’t want to go to the grocery store this is the place to get top quality products.

It took two weeks for my order to ship because they are swamped.

I used this recipe for Baked Apples Stuffed with Oatmeal & Brown Sugar
Ingredients
4 medium apples, such as Jonagold, Fuji, or Honeycrisp. I used Fuji.
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon I used 1/2 teaspoon of Pumpkin Pie spice
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg see above
Pinch ground cloves see above
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut in 4 pieces
1 cup hot water
I used 1/4 of walnuts.
Follow instructions from recipe.
When I removed my apples from the oven I recovered them with foil and let them cool so they would cook more. I like my apples between crispy and applesauce.

This is when they first come out of the oven.

If you like them softer cover with foil when they come out of the oven and let them cool. This is when they are cool.

Delicious!
