Volunteer: Annual Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon
When: Saturday, June 23, 2018, 7:30AM-5:30PM
Where: Daley Plaza, 50 West Washington Street and then City-wide
Cost: A $10 fee covers everything you need for the day. You will receive a T-shirt, light breakfast, lunch, plus a party with food and beer (for those of us of drinking age) afterward. Register here.
Join 5,000 other people and volunteer around the city. All details are arranged and all supplies are included as well as transport to volunteer locations.
Rundown of the day
7:30 A.M. – 8:30 A.M. Check in at Daley Plaza, get your volunteer site assignment and fuel up with some coffee and a continental breakfast
8:30 A.M. Assignment in hand, board the bus for your project site.
2:30 P.M. – 3:30 P.M. Wrap up your project and head back to Daley Plaza on the bus.
3:30 P.M. – 5:30 P.M. Worked hard? Time to play hard. We’ll celebrate in the plaza with a party featuring food, drink and live music.
* If construction, weather or another unforeseeable dictates slight changes, we’ll notify you ASAP via email.
Project sites include schools, senior residences, parks and community centers. Examples of types of work include painting, landscaping, serving meals, spending time with seniors and kids at community centers.
