Celebrate Chicago’s significant role in Black filmmaking and visit the 31st annual Black Harvest Film Festival showcase of Black film across the Diaspora from November 7-16, 2025, at the Gene Siskel Film Center.

View an exciting range of films, from shorts, features, documentaries, dramas and comedies created by upcoming Black film makers. Black Harvest also provides panel discussions, award presentations, and workshops, including a Community Film Workshop Showcase on November 8.
View over 20 cinematic presentations like “All About Love,” a shorts program examining the variations of Black Love on November 13th and 15th, the family comedy about a Bigfoot-obsessed little girl, “Paw Paw and Dayja” on November 8 and 14 and “Move Ya Body: The Birth of House,” which chronicles Chicago’s house music movement on November 9 and 14.
Black Harvest Film Fest general admission tickets are $13 and $8 for students and seniors. Tickets sell out fast to reserve your tickets in advance of the show.
