Farmer’s Fridge, 7-11 45 E. Chicago Avenue. This is a vending machine that serves fresh salads. Salads range around $9. Don’t be deceived by the size of the containers – the salads are large. Utensils etc. adjacent to the machine.
Fig & Olive, 104 East Oak Street, 2nd floor, 312-445-0060. Mediterranean food including soups, salads, burgers and more.

Hendrickx Belgian Bread Crafter, 100 East Walton Street (enter at condominium entrance), 312-649-6717. European-style bakery “hidden” on the ground floor condo building offers reasonably priced soups, salads, sandwiches and baked goods. They’re a part of the Ritual app. Get $10 for signing up.

The Original Pancake House, 22 East Bellevue Place, 312-642-7917. Cheap breakfast all day long.
SideDoor 100 E. Ontario St., 312-787-6768. This is the lower-cost sibling to Lawry’s next door. “Gastropub” sandwiches, salads, chili, cheese and charcuterie boards and more. Under $20.
Soupbox, 50 E. Chicago Avenue, 312-951-5900. Delicious soups served with a big chunk of fresh bread. $7-$10. Seating is very limited.
