Chicago Parks open
The Chicago Park District has eased restrictions on select park facilities including lakefront parks west of Lake Shore Drive, inland golf courses and park fieldhouses across the city. Always check your park location before heading out as situations can change.
Patrons are required to follow social distancing rules and are required to wear a face covering at all times in the parks as well as follow all other other City of Chicago Covid-19 health and safety guidelines.

The following closures remain: all playgrounds; all pools; the Lakefront and all parks, beaches, trails and facilities east of LSD and the 606. GO HERE to learn more. If a park has a beach, the beach will remain closed, while the parkland and field house will open.

100 social distancing ambassadors
The Chicago Park District will deploy 100 social distancing ambassadors to help educate the public and manage the flow of patrons in the parks. Ambassadors will actively engage park patrons providing guidance on appropriate social distancing, the importance of face coverings as well as other health and safety guidelines. The District plans to increase the number of ambassadors as more parks reopen.
All park fieldhouses (at open parks) will reopen to the public, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for washrooms and shelter only
I would recommend carrying your own drinking water, hand sanitizer and sanitary wipes for your personal use when going to all facilities. The restrooms at Millennium Park are closed. Port-a-loos and handwashing stations will be available.
Chicago Park District’s inland golf facilities and Diversey Driving Range will reopen to the public on Monday, June 8. Sydney R. Marovitz and South Shore golf courses will remain closed for the time being. All golfers will need to follow specific guidelines as mandated by city and state guidelines. Please visit here for details including hours, and to book a tee time.
All park playgrounds remain closed and equipment is not being cleaned or sanitized. The Park District asks that parents keep children away from equipment to prevent the spread of the virus.
