Free guided wildflower walks in Lincoln Park. The Lincoln Park Conservancy offers two free guided wildflower walks throughout the summer:
Wildflower Walks at the North Pond Nature Sanctuary
When: May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4, September 8, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. Walks last 45- to 60-minutes and are geared toward adults.
Where: North Pond located just north of Fullerton Parkway and east of Stockton Drive

The North Pond Nature Sanctuary is a 15-acre natural area with over 100 species of native Midwestern wildflowers and grasses. The Sanctuary is located in Lincoln Park between Fullerton, Stockton, Diversey, and Cannon Drive.

Where: Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool located south of Fullerton Parkway and east of Stockton Drive

Discover the beauty of the native wildflowers and blooming trees planted in 1936 by noted landscape architect Alfred Caldwell. Set against the backdrop of his Prairie School structures, you’ll enjoy a relaxing walk around a pool of lilies on this 45- to 60-minute walk geared toward adults.
Discover Lincoln Park’s hidden treasure – the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool – with one of their expert docents. Thanks to a $2.4 million restoration by the Chicago Park District, the Lily Pool is now the park’s only landscape with National Historic Landmark status.
