Free Tennis Maggie Daley Park Chicago – Effective June 15, 2020
The six tennis courts are open and free on a first, come, first served basis from 8AM-pPM 7 days a week. No reservations are available. You are limited to 1 hour on a court if someone is waiting. On Monday-Friday courts 1-3 are reserved for pickleball from 11AM-1PM.
Where are the courts
The courts can be accessed by walking along any of the winding paths in the park toward Lake Shore Drive. The courts are located just over a hill at the bottom.
Maggie Daley Park Field House, 337 E. Randolph Street 312-742-3918 across from the ice ribbon and climbing wall. Hours for tennis are 7am-9pm 7 days a week. For information on permits please call 312.742.7651.
The Chicago Park District offers free first come, first served tennis at locations throughout the city.
Fees for tennis facilities are determined by demand, age and condition of facilities and neighborhood.

Maggie Daley Park Free on a first come, first served basis OLD RULES
Tennis is free on a first come, first served basis. If you want to reserve at least three one hour sessions you have to obtain a permit at the field house. Always contact the field house before heading over to confirm the courts are open 312-742-7651.
Weather dependent. Permitting will begin May 1st. During the month of April, NO PERMIT necessary. Courts will be first come first serve.
Rental cost
The six tennis courts at Maggie Daley Park are available for walk-up use at no charge. Those who wish to permit the court hours and rental fees are:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm – $15/hour
Monday – Friday, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm – $20/hour
Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 am – 9:00 pm – $20/hour
Permits are issued for three or more dates paid at the time of permit issue. The Chicago Park District reserves the right to alter this pricing policy at any time.
